2. Epigynous Flowers: Petals, sepals, and stamens are situated above the ovary.
The ovary is said to be inferior.
e.g., guava, cucumber, and ray florets of sun flower.
3. Perigynous Flowers: Thalamus forms a cup-shaped structure.
The gynoecium is at the basal part & other floral parts are on the rim. The ovary is said to be half inferior.
e.g., plum, peach, rose.
